Now how about them rains yesterday? Oahu was under a flash flood warning till about 3pm. Seems like central and leeward side were hit the most with thunderstorms, lightning and waterspouts. I was following a lot of updates on Facebook and Twitter and there was a lot of information going back and forth and then I see some people from the windward side start criticizing leeward residents for over-reacting to rain because it happens all the time in Kahaluu or wherever they’re from on the moister side of the island. Well to those people, I’m gonna say this… you get rained on a lot… congrats… I’m happy for you. You know what that also means, you know how to deal with flooding all the other damage that comes with rain. For people living on the leeward side, it doesn’t happen as much so please FORGIVE them if they want to make extra precautions to stay safe. FORGIVE them if they wanna educate each other on not approaching flowing water so that we don’t get swept away. You can never be too prepared so if you don’t like what you see on facebook or twitter, time to start unfollowing or guess what, put your phone down. Take a walk … and forget your umbrella.
