Another big weekend at the box office - find out which movie came out on top in this morning’s KPOI Hotbox. Make sure you listen up at 7:40 because I’ll be giving away movie-related prizes all week long - this week, it’s a “Grudge Match” prize pack, consisting of a t-shirt, movie swag, and four passes to see the movie starring Robert DeNiro and Sylvester Stallone.
And be careful if you’re purchasing or exchanging an iPod this holiday season. A guy in San Diego bought an iPod from a local Target store as a gift for his wife. When she opening it up, it was a box of erasers and index cards - weighing about the same as an iPod. The box was shrink-wrapped and everything so he didn’t expect any tampering. He took it back to another Target store to exchange it. When they gave him a new iPod box, he opened it up just to be sure and guess what? More erasers and index cards! At least the erasers were a different color but still, that’s a huge scam going on. The Target employees eventually found a box with a real iPod in there but again, I would urge you to be cautious and open up that box at the store. That is, unless you like overpaying for erasers.
