Listen up nerds, the world's largest collection of more than 11,000 video games is for sale. Who says this is the largest video game collection? Guiness World Book of Records, that’s who. It was declared back in 2012. The collection consists of games for more than 21 consoles, some of which were never released in North America. Why is the New York owner selling them? He says he has some family commitments that he has to honor and so he is addressing those needs. I think that’s code for “oh my gosh I finally got a girlfriend, I’m gonna do whatever she says and right now she’s telling me to grow up.” The highest bid so far is $98,500. Thomasson estimated his collection is valued between $700,000 and $800,000. The auction ends June 15 - Father’s Day… coincidence? I think not. Read the whole story [here].
