From everyone here at KPOI and Ohana Broadcast Company, Our hearts go out to everyone in Boston dealing with yesterday’s tragedy and our thoughts are with all of those injured by the explosions at the Boston Marathon yesterday. The Red Cross acknowledges that you need to be able to know if your family/friends are safe and sound. If you have family and friends in the Boston area that you are unsure of, make sure you go to this site and urge your loved ones to register in case others are looking for them, also.
The Red Cross has also released a statement saying there is currently enough blood on the shelves to meet patient needs. The Red Cross also has the financial resources it needs to support this event right now. We are asking those who want to help to make an appointment to give blood in the coming weeks and months. They can do that by calling 1-800-RED CROSS or visiting their donation site here.
In lighter news, in case you’re planning a family vacation to Disneyland, they shut down one of their most famous rides. In case you missed me talking about it this morning, read more [here].
